More Corruption From The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department, Shoot First And Ask Questions Later!

Once again the Lewis County Sheriff’s Department is under fire for their part in the recent murder of an unarmed Lewis County Man. Sheriff’s Deputy Matt McKnight shot and killed Steven V. Petersen who was unarmed and 19 feet away from McKnights patrol car.  The family of the murdered man filed a “Tort Claim” with the Lewis County Risk Management Office and the claim was denied. Since the denial of the claim the Petersen family has acquired the help of the Connelly Law Firm, located in Tacoma Washington. Steven V. Petersen was used as target practice and shot in both arms and once in the head by Officer McKnight. An independent investigation was conducted and McKnight was cleared of any wrong doing, but the family of the slain man wants justice. I too want justice for Steven Petersen, the fact that Petersen was unarmed and almost 20 feet away from McKnight’s patrol car raises many questions about McKnights position as a Law Enforcement Official. With no witnesses and since McKnight never called for back up and an unarmed man is now dead, this leads me to believe that murder is now legal in Lewis County if you work for Steve Mansfield.

Officer Matt McKnight you are now on our “Officer Suspect List”
