The Santa Maria Police Department was investigating one of their own police officers for allegations of sexual misconduct against a minor. But the events that took place had a drastic out come, the officer that was being investigated pulled out his service weapon and was shot and killed by other officers. The name off the officer has not been released yet, so we’ll just call him Officer Diddle’s. Officer Diddle’s was shot and killed by his own officers during the attempted apprehension. Obviously Officer Diddle’s was guilty, since guilty people don’t act this way when their under investigation. Suicide by cop takes on a whole new meaning in this case. Tough luck Officer Diddle’s.

You are nothing but antagonistic. yes I agree there are Dirty cops out there but for every dirty com there is one or more who are not. there are those ” officers” who abuse their authority and hide behind their badge , but there are more who believe in upholding the Law. it is people like you who make it difficult for the good officers to continue to do their job.

Nah, I agree that maybe 30 years ago there were more good cops than bad cops. I feel pretty strongly it is the other way around now, most of them are just immoral thugs pumped up on steroids and prescription drugs
I think you are unaware what this site is about. This is about dirty cops, not all cops. There are too many cops who are dirty, especially since most most Police Forces choose not to follow their oath and regulary violate the Constitutional rights of citizens, which includes many who are innocent. Search the web and you will find revolting things that dirty cops do, such as jailing and fining a man who had 20 people at his home doing Bible study.
There are no good cops. Because even supposed “good” cops protect their bad brothers and maintain the Blue Wall. By enabling bad police behavior, they are part of the problem as well.
Its not a question of good cop vs bad cop…The institution of law enforcement is corrupt through and through so even those “good cops” are working for an inherently corrupt and relatively unregulated agency. I am sure there at “good” drug dealers out there as well, but we as a society look at drug dealing as a reprehensible line of work, so despite there being “good” people who deal drugs, they are still dealing drugs. There are plenty of “good” cops out there, but they are still working to enforce laws that are oppressive, politically motivated, and outright unnecessary against an un-wanting public for the financial and political advancement of bureaucrats and politicians. The common excuse you hear from almost every cop is “well we don’t make the laws, we just enforce them”. That is absolutely true, but does not excuse their behavior. As a individuals we have the choice as to what line of work we enter into. no matter how “good” a cop is, they are still choosing to enter a line of work that is knowingly oppressive to the general public. We would never accept a drug dealing telling us its “ok” for him to sell to children because “I don’t make the drugs, I just sell them”, but we allow police to get away with the same rhetoric. We live in a society that has created laws to protect police officers from their bad behavior and have fostered a culture that allows for police to legally abuse innocent individuals
